Reflection Blog #2

I feel DACA is fair and important to child immigrants, as they had no choice in coming here, so they shouldn’t be punished. They also shouldn’t be punished for wanting to live a better life in America.      DACA is important to the United States citizens because if we were to get rid of it, it would cost us $280 billion, according to fortune.com.       Everyone could be impacted by the deportation of DACA recipients, since the deportation would likely have such devastating effects on the United States economy.       DACA is costing the United States less money than it would to get rid of it, therefore I believe we should keep it.

Reflection Blog #1

After listening to the podcast, I learned that when dealing with conflict from someone of a different culture you should not automatically judge them, instead, you need to put yourself in their shoes and realize that you might not be on the same page because of the language barrier. After listening to the podcast, I realized that the guy being interviewed handled most of the conflicts mentioned by sitting down and discussing them with the other people involved. I believe that the number one way to better deal with communication conflict is to sit down and discuss the conflict at hand, that way both parties can get a better understanding of what is going on.  I feel as if the interviewee did most of the things mentioned in the article when handling the conflicts. He respected everyone's differences and respected them, which is very important when dealing with conflict.
