Reflection #6
The video is about a black woman and her child at a grocery store being treated differently by the cashier than the white woman in front of her.
White people can use their privilege to speak up for races that are oppressed. Since white people aren't discriminated against, people are more likely going to listen to them than to a black person. If a white person sees a black person being discriminated against because of their skin color, they need to speak up and let them know that it isn't right.
Sometimes people don't speak up when they witness racism because they don't think it is their place, as it doesn't involve them. Other times, they could be embarrassed to speak up, even though they know it is wrong.
White people aren't discriminated against almost all the time and since their voices, for some odd reason, are heard louder, they should use their privilege to do something when there is an obvious injustice.
